Wow where has time gone!!! Police Equipment Reviews has really dropped the ball recently on our police equipment store blog. We are very sorry and strive to keep updating this blog as much as we can. Not to give too many excuses but we have been busy over the last couple of months designing and launching our two newest websites, Best Police Guns and Best Police Uniforms. Police Uniforms in San Diego
Well it is official, Galls in San Diego has closed down. Not really sure why they would close down their police gear store in San Diego because it was always busy when I went there. I got up there the week that it was closing and they had some killer deals. I was able to get a Safariland tactical leg holster for 50% off! I heard that the 5.11 Light for Life were gone within 2 hours of them announcing the big blow out.
Now that Galls is gone, there are really one two police equipment stores in San Diego that I would recommend. Here they are..

Sig Sauer P226
One of the most popular police guns is the Sig Sauer P226. Police Equipment Reviews only recently got introduced to Sig Sauer guns. We have been so use to shooting Glock pistols that we never deviated from them. All the time though, there was a little something in the back of our heads that said we should try to the Sig Sauer pistols. So many officers carry them that they must be good.
So we headed down to our local shooting range and was able to demo a Sig Sauer P226. The Sig P226 comes in three calibers; 9mm, .357, and 40 caliber. We shot the 40 caliber Sig Sauer P226. We fired about 150 rounds and enjoyed the gun. It fit great in our hands, fired nicely, and was accurate from 25 yards. One thing that we have always noticed about the Sig Sauer guns is that they are so beautiful. While a Glock in simple terms is a blah piece of plastic, the Sig Sauer guns look like they are ready for a model show. Some of them are two toned, some have custom wood grips, and even the basic gunmetal black ones look nice.
The Sig Sauer P226 that we shot woud be the equivelent of the Glock 22, a pistol that we carry daily. The Sig Sauer P226 is a great handgun and should be considered the next time you are looking for a new police handgun.

Police Gear
I really need to apologize for how long it has taken me to write another blog. I have been so busy at work. I recently had to go to school to learn about the Glock handguns and that took some of my time. Really interesting. I love shooting my Glock 22 and Glock 27. On that note, I am looking for some good police gear stores that specialize in Glock handguns in your area. If you know of any please email.
So I get back from school and was approached by a family member who is in the cheap web hosting industry. He has been watching the development of the police gear site and approached me with an idea to get an online store going. Not sure if I'm into that. There is so much police gear out there that I don't know if I have time. Plus, I did some looking around and turning that site into an e-commerce site would also take some time. Luckily for me, I already use BlueHost hosting and they have some of the best e-commerce features. But....I'm not sold on the idea quite yet. I will keep you up to date.
About two weeks, I received a piece of cop gear that I found interesting. It is called Ink Armor and it covers up any tattoos or scars. This could really work out great for police officers who are full sleeved and don't want to wear long sleeves all the time. The Ink Armor sleeves that I tried on were very comfortable and flexible.
